We’re excited to announce the latest updates to Therabyte Meet, powered by Jitsi, bringing you an improved user experience, enhanced features, and better control over your virtual sessions. Below are the key updates:
Updated Jitsi Version
We’ve upgraded to the latest version of Jitsi, ensuring better performance, security, and stability for all users.
New & Improved User Interface (UI)
Therabyte Meet now features a refreshed UI, making navigation smoother and interactions more intuitive for both practitioners and clients.
- Mute/Unmute Microphone – Quickly toggle your microphone on or off.
- Audio Settings – Choose input/output devices.
- Start/Stop Camera – Enable or disable your video.
- Video Settings – Choose camera device/s, background effects, and option to mirror your video.
- Screen Sharing – Share your entire screen or a specific tab or window.
- Chat/Polls/Closed Captions (CC)– Communicate via chat, create quick polls, or enable subtitle.
- Raise Your Hand – Virtually signal that you have a question or comment.
- Reactions – Express yourself with emoji reactions during the call.
- Participants List – View and manage attendees in the session, including Breakout Rooms for smaller group discussions.
- Toggle Tile View – Switch between speaker focus and grid layout.
- Performance Settings – Optimize for low bandwidth if needed.
- More Actions – Access additional meeting options.
- Leave Meeting – Exit the call safely.

| When a client joins from a mobile device and clicks "Join Session" from their appointments in the client portal, they will be redirected to this page. Upon selecting "Join Meeting Now," they will be automatically directed to the meeting link. Return-to-Call/Portal Page
After a meeting ends, participants are directed an exit page with two options:
- Return to Portal: Instantly go back to the Therabyte client portal.
- Rejoin Meeting: Quickly reconnect if the session is still active.
Breakout Rooms
- Create multiple private sub-rooms during your session
- Assign participants to rooms
- Move freely between rooms to monitor discussions

Meeting Lobby
To enhance privacy and control, the lobby feature is now enabled by default. This means:
- Clients/guardians will wait in the lobby until the practitioner approves their entry.
- Practitioners have full control over who joins the session, ensuring a secure and uninterrupted meeting environment.

Collaborative Whiteboard
A new interactive whiteboard feature is now available, allowing practitioners and clients to collaborate in real time by drawing, annotating, and sharing ideas during sessions.
How to Enable the Whiteboard:
- Click "More Actions" (⋯)
- Select "Show Whiteboard"
How to Save the Whiteboard:
- Click the "Save as Image" button in the upper-left corner of the whiteboard.
- Rename the file (optional) and choose your preferred format (PNG or SVG).
- The file will be saved to your default downloads folder.
Call & Lobby Notifications
Practitioners will now receive real-time notifications for various events, including:
- A client/guardian is waiting in the lobby to join.
- A participant requests to join the call.
- A participant has joined or left the call.
Group Sessions
We've enhanced our Group Sessions capability - practitioners can now host video sessions with up to 10 participants.
