Some users may encounter an error where a PDF fails to upload. This is a known issue related to how certain Mac systems process and generate PDF files. The problem is not with the upload feature itself, but with the structure of the original PDF.

The issue typically originates from the tool or system that was used to generate the original PDF. Some Mac-based PDF generators create files with encoding or structural inconsistencies that prevent successful uploads.

Recommended Workaround

Until a permanent fix is available, please follow these steps:

  1. Open the PDF file in Microsoft Word.
  2. Once opened, go to File → Save As.
  3. Choose PDF as the file format.
  4. Save the newly created PDF.
  5. Upload the newly saved PDF file.

Here’s what happens:

  • When the PDF is opened in Microsoft Word, the file is fully decoded.
  • When the file is then saved as a PDF from Word, the document is reconstructed, which corrects the structural issues introduced by the original PDF-generation tool.

This reconstruction allows the PDF to upload successfully.

Additional Notes

  • This issue is rare and does not affect most PDF files.
  • It appears to be specific to certain PDF generators or reports created on Mac systems.

We are continuing to investigate long-term solutions to minimize or eliminate this behavior.
